Compared the Vizio SV420XVT with the 40" sony and a toshiba and sharp sitting next to each other at the store. I actually preferred the Vizio to the Sony and sharp even the quality of build looked as good. The other sets were all more expensive than the Vizio. So I purchased the Vizio and have not been disappointed. I expect to have many enjoyable evenings with my Vizio and I like the extra weight in my wallet.
