When you feel like listening to music, press the LISTEN button to reveal a list of what you can hear on your system. Once you make a selection, the Medius' automation takes over and completely reconfigures your system to watch or listen to the selected choice. The Medius is equipped with an easy-to-read LCD touchscreen, which can be customized for your system. The screen labels the 10 hard buttons, and up to 40 devices can be controlled using up to 40 pages per device. This allows custom interfaces to be created for every room and every user, complete with automated favorite channels and stations. By taking advantage of this universal remote control's RF capability, you'll have more flexibility. The remote sends your commands via both infrared and radio-frequency signals. The RF signals travel through walls/doors, so you can keep your components in a cabinet or another room. To take advantage of this feature, you'll need an RF base station. Customize the universal remote control using a free text-based software download. Just connect the remote to your PC with the included USB cord for programming. Basic setup takes only a short time with this software; it is recommended that a professional A/V installer program your Medius Remote for maximum usage.
