Just recently bought the 650 50" plasma and I must say everything has been great. Manys reviews I've read have trashed the audio, however, I think it's just fine. I would recommend the samsung blu-ray player should you decide to buy a blu-ray, you can operate the TV and the blu ray with the same remote. Calibration is a must, however, try to find an independent vendor, the chains will charge you an arm and a leg.
