I bought this sub about a month ago.. I blew it in about 3 hours. I was putting about 500 rms watts to it(Perfect). I guess I was distorting it .. I was cranking it which I guess it can't take. I had a 2 year plan though. I'm kinda new to car audio But this sub is extremely powerful..friend said he thought it was 2 12's... Can be heard from anywhere between 2 to 4 blocks away:). It's so crisp and clean. I have in a ported box made for it by Alpine. It's being powered by the p4002 fosfate. 400 by 1 but they underrate it by a lot. I'm for sure getting another sooner or later... if it were to blow again I would get again and again:). Heh, get this sub.. not going to find another 10 like it. Best out there!!
