I happened to be in Costco and they had a set of the Phillips on display, I put them on and was AMAZED at how good they did at cutting out all of the noise (Which Costco is very noisey). So, I bought a pair figuring I would get them home and try them, if they didnt sound good with my ipod I would return them. Well, they wound great, are very comfortable, come with a nice compact case... all at less than 25% of the Bose cost... I'm keeping these and would recommend you have a look at them before you buy something more expensive.
