This device will greatly improve the
overall sound balance of poor material
like shortwave, noisy AM radio,
recordings of old radio shows, or web
streams. However, there is a VERY
slight hissing introduced by the
amplifier chip in the unit, unaffected
by the volume control, so it may
slightly degrade excellent sounding
CDs or MP3s.
