The picture is extremely crisp. My cable is not yet digital (until I call to upgrade). This TV has two coax connections. On one, I hooked up my analog cable. On the other I hooked up an indoor UHF antenna and found that my local broadcast stations come in as strong HD signals that are crystal clear. The TV has multiple picture settings that you can change by a single push of a button on the remote. The "dynamic" setting is the ultra bright and crisp setting they use to sell the set in the store. When watching a movie at night, it can be a little too bright. Just press the picture button on the remote and switch the TV to "movie" mode for a more pleasing and less brain piercing picture.
