I work as a radio broadcast engineer, so I'm picky about my electronics equipment. This antenna does a fantastic job of cleaning up AM reception problems. I have even used these with expensive AM modulation monitors that stations use for monitoring their own signal. I have one connected to a Sony receiver at home and it made a huge improvement. With the cheap wire loop supplied with the Sony receiver, I could hear a lot of noise on weak signals. This loop antenna has very selective tuning (narrow bandwidth high-Q for tech types). It gets rid of most of the noise from computers, TVs, etc. while increasing the strength of the signal you want to hear. It does help somewhat when placed near a radio with an internal ferrite rod antenna. It really shines when you can connect it directly to AM antenna terminals on a receiver. It comes with a 1/8" plug and a length of wire for this connection. The loop antenna has a 1/8" jack for its output.
